Fall makeup trends typically go a bit bolder and darker than those light summer looks. This time of year is my favorite for playing with new products, as I can really experiment with dramatic trends. I’ve found that one of the easiest ways to change up your makeup look is with a different lip color. A bold shade can take your look from work, to after work drinks, to date night drama.
From bold and brazen to subtle and sheer, here are some of my favorite Fall lip products:
I like to fill in my entire lip with this liner. This creates a really dark, very intense look. Probably not an everyday work look for most people, but so good when you want a little drama in the cooler seasons.
Bonus Tip: I love applying this liner, and then topping it with a brighter berry shade for a less intense look.
This is a really lovely dark, yet wearable shade of red. This is the color that I was searching for all of last winter, the perfect wine matte lip. Not to mention, the formula of this lipstick line is amazing. They are super smooth and very long wearing (something you definitely want with a bold lip color).
Don’t tell my other lippies, but this is probably my favorite Fall lip color of all time. It is another great wine/berry color that doesn’t look crazy overdone. I think the formula of this is what really makes it more wearable. You get an amazing glossy lip color at first, and as the formula wears off you are left with beautiful berry stained lips.
This formula is very buildable. You can wear it sheered out for every day (I even wear this to work in the summer), or you can add a bit more pressure and get a bolder look. The color is a cool-toned red that will look great on almost anyone.
Here we have another amazing wine color that goes on relatively sheer. This wearable shade is a perfect choice for those who want to try a Fall look, but don’t want to go too dramatic.
For those girls that stay far away from bold colors, this is a great pinky nude that really works for any season. The formula is amazingly smooth and comfortable on the lips.
Bonus Tip: Penelope Pink also looks great paired with any of the other lip products I mentioned above to tone them down a bit.
