I find it doesn’t officially feel like summer until I have a bright pedicure. However, before I slip on those sandals and show off my toes, I follow these steps for perfectly polished feet:
Pedicure Prep
- Whenever I do at at-home pedicure, I like to start with a foot soak. I typically fill the bathtub until it covers my feet, and add my favorite body wash to make it feel more luxurious.
- After about 10 minutes, I dry off my feet and useSally Hansen Instant Cuticle Remover, along with a cuticle pusher to remove anything around the toenails.3. Next, I trim and shape my nails.
- Once my nails are at a good length, I useJulep Brilliance Glycolic Hand + Body Scrubto give my feet a bit of a massage.5. Give your feet a quick wash, and then finish up the pedicure prep with a pumice stone to remove dead skin.
Perfectly Polished
I wanted to do something tropical and beachy, so I chose blues, greens, and a little bit of sparkle:
Sally Hansen – Barracuda
Essie – Mint Candy Apple
Deborah Lippmann – She Drives Me Crazy
Essie – Set in Stones
I painted Mint Candy Apple on my big and middle toe, She Drives Me Crazy on my second and pinkie toe, and used barracuda topped with Set in Stones for a little sparkle/accent nail on the remaining toe.
